Biblical Manhood
Led by Keith Jacobsen
God has created each person differently. He has made some that can paint, draw or dance. He has made others who love to do spreadsheets and organize and plan. Each of us are created in the image and likeness of the Almighty God. God has, in his infinite creativity, also made men and women differently. God speaks to us differently and asks different things of us, based on who he created us to be. But the male voice is often lost.
The statistics are frightening, only 35% of American males attend church weekly; a typical US Congregation is 61% female, 39 % male; 25% of married women go to church without their husbands. This class seeks to examine what God has told us about our role as men in the different spheres of our lives; as men, unmarried, husbands, fathers, employers and employees and members of his body, the church. We will also seek to form relationships where we can call each other to live out what we learn about our roles as men.
Please bring a Bible, a notebook, a pencil or pen, and a readiness to learn from and with others.
