"I was going through a very difficult time in my life. My sister sent me an invitation to a dinner and a talk about Christianity. I tossed the invite aside because I did not think I needed to complicate my life any more than it was with questions about faith and God and all that stuff. My sister followed up with a phone call to see if I was interested and for some reason I found myself saying "sure, why not?".

I went to the dinner and found the talk to be pretty good and kind of interesting. There was a card on the table asking if you would be interested in attending a course to ask questions about faith and God and spirituality and if you were to leave your contact information. Again I had no interest in attending but at the end of the evening I found myself filling out the card. I missed the first week but a friendly phone call from the speaker at the dinner prompted me to agree to come the next week.

What I experienced over the next ten weeks was life changing. I boldly asked questions about God and Jesus and Christianity and how they affected a person's life and the world as a whole. Some questions were answered some were not. There were some GREAT discussions and debates, with everyone being treated with dignity and respect.

I eventually came to the conclusion that what I was missing in my life was a close, personal relationship with Jesus. Here was someone who could teach me and guide me to a life worth living. I am finding meaning and purpose and direction that absolutely would not be happening without my newly found faith, and that would not have happened without Alpha. "
